I have been using this color for many years. Mixed with 6N and a bit of 5N it covers gray and gives a multidimensional shading that holds up well through several weeks of shampooing. Not an orange red or a violet red. It is a true red.

Redken hair color is great. It looks so natural and does not give my hair an orange tint like other hair coloring. My natural hair color is medium to dark brown and other colors make it look black. This is a very nice and natural looking color and the product is excellent.

Fabulous color to use either over-all or for roots only. Redken Color Gels were first recommended to me by my hairdresser and now I use them exclusively. You can't beat the shine, and Sleekhair sells them for way under what the salon does.

Wonderful Product - I am a Redken die hard, my stylist used this on my hair about 3 years ago, when I moved 6 hours away from her, I refused to use any other hair color. The new salon I go to allows me to bring my Redken Color Gel in for her to apply.
Pros:
The color NEVER fades, leaves hair soft, shinny and it seems to actually condition it. I'm 62 and have been doing terrible things to my hair for at least 40 years. I started with Redken tried A LOT of other products but always return. GREAT HAIR COLORING PRODUCT.Cons:

I have been using redken color gels for almost 3 years now. I've tried almost every red they have and have stuck with paprika the last few times. I honestly can't say enough nice things about it. The color stays and it lasts and people mistake me all the time for a natural red head. It's awesome!

I have used Redken Shades EQ in the shade Walnut for many years. Now that I am getting more grey I needed to step it up to permanent coverage. I was hesitant to order but found Color Gels in the same exact shade that I was using in the Shades EQ. Perfect match! I usually only use on my roots to cover and it blended perfectly. I have dark brown hair that tends to pick up orange and red tones. This ash color works well for me.

I had my hair colored for years with Redken color Gels at salons and decided to color at home. This works great with
Redken Color Gels Emulsified Developer - 30 Volume, but I prefer to use Trionics Gray B Gone developer instead beacuse it's less drying.
