Overall Rating
Great for that

I just recently went from long hair to short hair and was really nervous about the transition. I remembered the last time I had short hair it was either I put in nothing, or I got hard shiny spikes. Neither of which sounded very appealing. I went to the drug store and found American Crew Fiber. It completely changed everything. My hair doesn't look wet or crunchy it looks dry and full. The best part is I can readjust as I need to. I don't have to worry about my hair being ruined by someones hands running through. Now I just let them go for it.Pros:
Great for the messy look.Matte Finish.
Keeps hair soft.
Cons:
None. Just make sure that you don't want that wet look.I would recommend this item to a friend.

Review for American Crew Fiber - pliable molding creme

I've tried probably 10-15 different hair creams. I tend to go for the semi-short semi-messy looking style, a little spikey and kinda erradic. So far this is the only product that doesn't make my hair shiney, doesn't leave residue, and doesn't dry crunchy. It leaves your hair with a somewhat natural feel, although it is a tad bit sticky. If you're a fan of the crunchy look, you won't like this. If you want a more natural look, you'll love it. I've seen a few reviews saying it doesn't spready easy or clumps... YOU'RE PUTTING IT IN WRONG! You can't put this in like normal gel. Follow these directions for perfect application: 1. Wash hair. 2. Let hair dry, and apply IMMEDIATELY after hair dries - don't let your natural oils rebuild. This is a very small window of about 5 minutes. 3. For short hair scoop a ball with the diameter of a nickel, more for more hair. 4. Rub FAST between your hands (make sure they're clean and water/lotion free), generating heat to the product and making it pliable. 5. Lightly run hands over hair, texturizing by mostly applying to the tips of your hair and letting natural groupings form. no need to apply to the roots - applying to the outside half of your hair will hold perfectly. 6. Periodically rub hands together to reapply product. If you follow these steps you'll see no white clumps, unevenness and you'll have a better hold overall.Review for American Crew Fiber - Pliable Molding Creme

I Absolutely Love This Product I Have Been Using It For Over Two Years Now. I Have Really Thin Hair And I Like To Spike It. I Keep My Hair Less Than Two Inches And It Works Great. It Lasts All Day And Washes Out Easily. It Also Gives My Hair A Fuller Look Because My Hair Looks Dry After Applying It. I Would Not Recommend It For People Who Want The Wet Look. But For Me It Works Great. It Is Worth The Money Being That I Probably Would Spend Over 25 Dollars A Month Trying Other Products That I Was Just Disappointed In. One Jar Usually Lasts Me Over Three Months. Review for American Crew Fiber - pliable molding creme

I have thick hair and it's difficult to find a product that gives great hold, but without the cruncy, hard, shiny look. I like the matte, natural look more. This product is great for this type of look since it gives great hold - all day long. Remember to use it on dry hands so that it's easier to apply.American Crew Fiber - high hold with low shine
