AG Recoil Curl Activator is the definitive curl activating balm, perfect for encouraging and supporting soft casual waves and creating long lasting tousled "beach hair". Versatile Re:coil is incomparable for frizz-free, moisture rich-curls, making it ideal in high humidity environments. AG Re:coil - it's making waves. Distribute Re:coil thoroughly through clean damp hair. Scrunch dry for casual "tousled" curls and waves. For more intense curls, simply add additional Recoil and continue to scrunch hair dry.
Contains Natural Corn Starch which sets curl with a very natural feel (not stiff or sticky). Recoil provides superior high humidity curl retention and does not weigh hair down. Adds moisture and conditions (moisture helps to encourage curl).

Work a small amount evenly through clean, damp hair. Comb, scrunch, then air dry or diffuse blow-dry.

One of the best curl creams I've used

This along with the liquid varnish mixed in gives me nice wavy/curly hair with no frizz and good shine. Too much of this will make hair crunchy which is another reason I like to cocktail it with the liquid varnish - always ensures good results!!I would recommend this item to a friend.
Can't easily curl my hair

I tried this over and over, a number of different ways and with different products, but I can't get it to do much for my hair. My curls don't look any better with Re:coil than they do with other products. I wanted to love this, because it gets good reviews but I just didn't.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Frizz Control

I have long very kinky, curly hair and usually when I use a styling cream I just end up with a head full of frizz. I tried the AG Re:Coil Curl Activator after reading the reviews of this product. I think it is a good product for me when used with other products. First I put about a little more than a dime size in my hands and work it through my hair. Then I use my gel and finishing spray. It holds my hair from getting to frizzy. I hate when you use a product and walk out the door and are a frizzy mess. I think the AG helps prevent that. Sometimes later in the day if my hair is starting to frizz up I will put a little of the activator on and it smooths and holds my hair. Pros:

I really loved this product. Gave me lovely curls and great body when I used a diffuser (less spectacular results with air drying). I have fine, dry hair and the canopy doesn't always curl well, but looked great with this.Pros:

Fantstic product I can't ever imagine how I lived before this product. My hair always looks fablous now. No more bad hair days.My hair is very wavy type 2b before this product my hair was so wild could not fit my head in a bushel basket but know I have controlled springy curls that last all day this product adds moisture to my hair I use all the AG for curly hair products . i really like this product. I have tired a lot of other curl enhancers. Re:Coil works great with my hair. I have wavy hair, not really curly, it makes my hair soft and smooth, no frizz. I can even blow out the top of my head and let the bottom half dry naturally. It doesn't leave my hair crunchy.Highly recommend it.

I have used the AG RE:coil Curl Activator for about 3 years. After I've washed my hair I apply about a quarter sized amount and work it through my hair, then towel dry lightly and scrunch it a few times. I pull the top part into a small claw clip (otherwise I will get that awful triangle-shaped hair). I sleep on it and in the morning I have nice, perfectly shaped, soft curls. No frizz, defined curls. And the product smells amazing! I would definitely recommend it!I would recommend this item to a friend.

This did give my curls a lot of hold but did not keep out the frizz. I have very difficult hair in that it is naturally curly and full of frizz. Held the curls but I need more frizz fighting.Pros:

I love this product sometimes. haha it makes my hair extremely crunchy but it comes out when i scrunch it for a bit. but this product makes my hair shiny and more mangable but the only thing is it doesnt have the right kind of hold so i use a curling cream then that then scrunch out the crunch and its perfect! :)I would recommend this item to a friend.

I'm a 3b hair type and I use this producto to alternate with my other styling ones( i'ts a curl hair thing), it's great to create and define curls, ( I use it together with the curl keeper ) you just need a tiny amount, it leaves a little be of crunch but you can crunch it out when it's dry, and smells sooo good! unfortunately the 12 oz pump broke-up on me in my first use...Pros:

This product is the ONLY one that I have tried that really works and HOLDS the curl all day. I have slightly wavy hair, and this product gives me that smooth, piecy look with soft curls. Just add to wet hair and crunch dry with a diffuser attached to your blow dryer. It seems sticky when first applied to wet hair, but it dries soft and adds lots of shine. Well worth the money vs. the watered down copycats in the stores! I would recommend this item to a friend.

Finally found a product that took care of all my curly hair needs! After years of using multiple products, my hairdresser recommended Re:Coil and it has been the best thing I have ever found for my hair. It is the only product I use and it lasts forever (I dont have frix by the end of the day anymore!). I have receommended it to everyone I know with curly hair. I like the activator, but I have to put it in when my hair is completely soaked with water or it doesn't work right. However, if I put it on in the shower then wrap my hair in a towel, it comes out perfect! This product definitely amps up the curlsI would recommend this item to a friend.

I really like this product. I have naturally curly hair and found that Re:Coil helped define the curls and make it "curlier". Also helps with frizz and smells good. A little goes a long way so the bottle lasts a long time.I would recommend this item to a friend.

I have thin curly hair. This product really enhances your curls. You only need a small amount to do the job no matter what the volume of your hair is. You can use it alone or under a styling product. With our hot and humid weather, I'm hoping to see good results once winter is over the humidity sets in. I will definitely purchase this product again.Pros:

I have naturally curly hair and have been looking for a product like AG Re:Coil. It is amazing. It brings out the curl and helps them to last all day without getting frizzy. I mix it with Joico Firm gel and they compliment each other well. I would recommend this product with anyone with naturally curly hair.I would recommend this item to a friend.

I have tried many creams, gels, sprays, etc. that claim to enhance curls. This one is truly different, though. I use a small, nickel sized dolup and rub is through my entire head, leave it sit for 10 min. before I dry it. I use a diffuser to blow dry, and people ask me if I've gotten a spiral perm. Amazing. Don't over use...you can always add more if needed.Pros:
don't need muchmixes easily with water for touch-ups later in the day
affordable and lasts forever

Re:Coil is the best curl creme I've ever tried. It works best under a gel, it is a frizz fighter, not a hold product. It smooths the hair without dragging down the curl, helps it to clump better and keeps it from drying out during the day, if you live in a humid place. Less effective in winter here with the dry air, but wonderful, best in class, during the summer. Lovely light sweet-ish citrus smell.Pros:

This was the second AG styling cream I tried for my curly hair. I'm particular about the way my styling products smell, and this one doesnt smell bad, but just a little weird. However, it works pretty good, feels silky when applying it to hair and once hair air dries, it keeps it under control. I have not tried it with a diffuser yet, i prefer not to use hair dryers to style my hair.Pros:

Like most people with curly hair, I've found that--unlike what people with straight hair think--we have to work to try to get that magazine-look. How many times has someone come up to you and said, "your hair looks really good today; you should wear it like that all the time." And you're thinking, "I DO wear it like this all the time--just sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!" I have really fine, no body, dry hair that has various textures all over--some really curly but fuzzy, some with almost no curl. And all I want is defined, consistant curls with body, without any crunchy or sticky feeling. Re:coil is a great product to get there!
I had read a bunch of reviews and they were somewhat mixed, but I thought I'd give it a try. You need VERY little product, and you run it through your hair right after a shower when it's still sopping wet. Then I put it in one of those absorbant towels for a few minutes and then shake my head upside down and let my hair air dry. When it's dry then I mess with it a little (scrunch upside down). Voila! Perfect ringlets! Everyone's been noticing, and the best part is that I actually have been spending a lot less time on my hair (with fewer products and better results) than ever.
I hate some reviews when it's clear that the reviewer just bought the product but hasn't started to actually use it yet--so I waited for 2 weeks before posting this. It is worth the money.
One caveat--I don't think this prodcut gives much if any hold, so if you need that (my hair's fine enough that it just sets--also it's really dry where I live) you might need to follow this with something light.

I bought this after a friend who has been using it said she can't live with out it. Her hair does look awesome... but when I tried it... my hair is finer than hers and it just made my hair sticky and weighed it down. I gave her the bottle. It didn't work for me but it has made a HUGE difference in my friends hair.This product is awesome...If you're struggling with your curls, give this product a try!

I have struggled with my naturally curly hair my whole life. I didn't know how to manage it, so I just straightened it every day for years. I was frustrated because no one seemed to know how to help me. I tried everything. But finally, after discovering recoil curl activator, I can embrace my wonderful curls. This product is awesome. I rub a small drop in after I shampoo and condition, let it air dry, and I have beautiful non-frizzy curls that hold all day without being stiff or crunchy. I don't know how I lived my life without this product. Although I have curly hair it is fine, I noticed that at a certain length my hair would begin to split. I have been using this product for 4 years and I no longer have split ends. I use the leave in conditioner and the recoil and let it air dry. I have been using this product for about two years, and I won't wash my hair w/o it. I put it on after I've toweled dried my hair, in addition to my regular conditioner.This product works best on damp hair, and keeps my curls almost as lucious as they are fresh out of the shower

I just got this and it almost close to perfect. I am of mixed parentage (black/ white) and have learned the hard way that "curly" means a lot of different things to different people. this product works best on damp hair, and keeps my curls almost as lucious as they are fresh out of the shower. This is the best curling product I have used. I have longer wavy/ curly hair and it holds the curl without making your hair crunchy. I usually had a little frizz serum to it and let my hair air dry.It turned my friend's wavy hair into ringlets, and my puffy hair into curls!!

This stuff is awesome. It turned my friend's wavy hair into ringlets, and my puffy hair into curls (she let me borrow hers and I was addicted ever since). I use Bumble and Bumble as well, which holds curls better, but is much stiffer and stickier and makes your hair look like a bird's nest the next day. This is the best!
