I have naturally curly mixed race hair. I currently have a texturizer that I apply myself every 3 months. This brazilian treatment compliments me well. My hair is even better with this as the texturizer doesn't remove the frizz alone. Since my hair is VERY thick and hard to dry, I now find with this treatment it dries faster. My straight look looks great for at least 3 months with proper keratin care.

What a convienance this little product is! I absolutely love it. I purchased the 4 oz and got 3 full uses out of it, with a little bit left over that i may use for a 4th treatment. The first time I did this my hair was a frizzy mess. I dont remember why or what I did wrong maybe my hair was just too damaged to have any real improvement...I dont remember. But the following times it worked like a miracle. It did not take away my waves (and I did not want it to) but it eliminated a great portion of my frizz. It did make waves drop a little bit and not be as tight but they were not completely gone. Some people may like that, some may not. When I just come out of the shower, if I let my hair air dry there will still be frizz but not as much. What matters the most to me is the frizz when I straighten it. I dont like straightening my hair only to have it ruined by a tiny bit of drizzle or just a couple hours at the gym. Not many things are more frustrating than that. With this, I feel I can do my daily activities and not worry about my hair being ruined on a moments notice. If I get caught in the rain my hair will not be ruined. Even if I get caught in moderate rain my hair will just wave up again but it will look nice, and like I styled it like that on purpose. And if its just a little drizzle, my hair won't be affected at all.
Alos, I have been told the normal formula smells quite unpleasant but this chocolate scent isn't too bad. It gets annoying after a while and will make your eyes water if not careful but it is not an unpleasant smell or a smell that is otherwise hard to bear.
I have a lot of experience with hair although I am not a stylist so I know what I am doing more or less. If you dont have much experience you really need to be careful with this product. I dont believe it comes with instructions and you need to know what ur getting into. Not only for what it will do to your hair but this is a product with strong chemicals you must be careful about inhaling this or letting animals and small children around it.
The one and only thing I DO NOT like is that for best results you must wait 4 days without washing. That means with this thick formula on your hair, you and your hair will look dirty for 4 days. It is very thick and gave my hair a coarse inflexible texture. Once I washed it, it was fine but I hate having my hair look like that for so long. Sometimes I even take time off work and school for it. I think next time I may try the advanced formula which you can wash off after 24 hours. Crossing my fingers it works just as well!

I think this product may have changed my life. I have coarse, tightly curled hair that was very difficult to style. Even after blow drying and flat ironing my hair, it would not be straight and would feel coarse. The Marcia Teixeira Brazilian Chocolate Extreme De-Frizzing Treatment left my hair feeling soft, smooth and it's easy to manage. I have the options of wearing it curly or blow drying it straight.
Pros:
1. IT WORKS! This product softens, smoothes and strengthens your hair. 2. Versatility. I have the options of wearing my hair in its naturally curly state or blow drying it straight. The treatment does not damage my hair like a relaxer would. 3. Chocolate Scent. I had heard horror stories about brazilian keratin treatments and the smell of formaldehyde. There is no formaldehyde in this product and the smell is quite pleasing.Cons:
1. Cost. The price is steep, but considering what I have spent on products that DON'T work, I can handle it.Carla M.

Very excited when I recieved it.Appling it, was time consuming,but alot cheaper than going to a salon.Make sure if your doing it yourself, you open your windows. The end result, priceless!!!
Pros:
When doing your hair after the treatment, it takes less time and it feels so good. My hair feels so healthy and has more bounce to it than it ever had.Cons:
The price, the smell while blow drying and at one point my eyes got teary.Right after blow drying and flat ironing my hair felt funny like does it really surpose to feel this way(sticky-like).Monique

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this treatment! It gets my hair African American 4a hair super duper straight with blow dry and flat iron. I sometimes wear it natural and it makes my curls larger and more elongated. The best part, the smell is wonderful!!
