Directions for Goldwell Colorance Acid Color Hair Color Coloration:
The mixing ratio is always 2 parts of Goldwell Colorance Acid Color Lotion and 1 part Colorance Acid Color (i.e. 40 ml Lotion + 20 ml color). Mix lotion and color thoroughly in an applicator bottle. Apply to shampooed, towel-drired hair, evenly saturating all hair. Leave to process for 5-25 minutes based on the desired color intensity. Thoroughly rinse hair with warm water. Do not shampoo. Style as desired.

I've been using this product for a little over one year. I mix 10v and 10n to get the perfect platinum toner after I use Goldwell Platin lift. My hair is long and Goldwell products leave my hair in great condition. Very little breakage - not even noticeable. I won't use anything else.

I love Goldwell. My family's salon used nothing but Goldwell product, and when I moved out of state, I continued to use it. I love the colorance because you don't get that harsh line when your outgrowth rears it's ugly head. And as the color fades, it usually stays within the same level and tone. Also, the colorance makes your hair look and feel a lot healthier than other products.

For Those Using N or NN Shades

The reason your hair is coming out dark and chalky etc...is because an N shade is used for adding grey coverage.
Never make it more than 25% of your color formula! It is NOT meant to be used alone!!!
It's a tool to use to help blend greys. Also, if you are going darker don't use more than 10% vol. in either permanent or demi color.
This is a fantastic color line and if mixed correctly you will LOVE the results!

P-Mix is my favorite color to add to my toner. Perfect for blonde hair. Needs the appropriate developer when adding mix. I use this very sparingly, as it is potent and will turn hair dark grey if not used correctly. Colorance is the best.

This is my first experience with this hair coloring product. I am Asian and I have black hair with some grey. It covers my grey fairly well. My hair still feels very dry and stiff after coloring. Using conditioner is a must for colored hair. I would like to have a better instruction manual with this product. I will likely purchase this item again.

I really love this brand of color, but you HAVE to know before using Goldwell that their color is generally darker than you expect, and it is best to start light and go darker. I had been wanting to dye my hair black for a while now and was going to go ahead and buy a 2N; however, my mother stopped me and advised that I try a 4N first. I was very happy that I did, and now I will probably just mix a 3N and a 4N to get the color that I want. "Mid-brown" isn't exactly what you would think, so again, I advise you go light then work your way down.

I am asian and have dark hair. I have been using Golwell Colorance Demi Color Acid Semi-Permanent Hair Colar Coloration 5 N for over 5 years to cover my gray hair. It makes my hair look shiny, and a very natural healthy looking, not like some other coloring produts. It doesn't make your hair have two different color when the root grows. One more plus is it smells nice. I will continue to use this products.

I use P-Mix for a beautiful soft shimmering silvery-white glaze over my coper haircolor. It tones down any artificial red, which red colors typically have. And adds a soft luster and brightness. It ties in & subdues all warm tones. Easy to use - my favorite.

Much Darker than Described

I have drak brown hair and just want to blend grays. I got the 4NN because according to the reviews, the NN is best for coloring grays. It came out BLACK. It also looks so fake, it is so solid, like shoe polish, harsh and does not look natural at all. It is chalky and just harsh and fake looking. I washed with a clarifying shampoo and a Vitamin C based color remover but it did not budge at all. 4 weeks later, I still get scared when I catch my reflection. Oh, I only colored the roots so imagine if it was all over! Color is severe, unnatural and comes out much darker than you would expect.

I mix this color with 4NN to achieve the desired hair color. I also use the NN colors with the Intensive Developer. Goldwell has a long lasting and natural color and is only one of two products that I can use due to skin allergies. I'm covering mostly grey roots and it works well and stays on the hair with litle fading.

Goldwell Colrance is the best demi-color, I've tried lots - healthy hair even after 2 years of consistent use on my pretty long hair. 5NN is the best coverage for my extremely resistant grey. To get a lighter shade of brown I mix it with 6NN, a little of 5B (for warm red hint) and some 7NN. Works with Intensive developer. Lasts at least 6 weeks!

Great shade and excellent demi-permanent hair color. I mix it with 5NN, 6NN and a bit of 7N, and it gives nice hint of red, just a hint, very warm. Goldwell is the best demi-color I've ever had - shiny hair, beautiful shades.

I like to use this product with just a few minutes development time to tone and cool down my highlights, it is a very soft natural ash tone. I usually have a lot of orange/red tones, and brassyness, this softens nicely.
