Back to Basics Apple Ginseng Volumizing Shampoo infuses hair with weightless volume as an awakening blend of apple, ginseng and Vitamin B5 energizes thin, lifeless hair, increasing thickness, body and manageability. Apple contains pectin, an emulsifier, to help thicken hair and boost volume, plus anti-oxidant Vitamins A and C to protect against damaging free radicals. This was the first purchase of this Volumizing Shampoo. I had used Back to Basics in the past and had always been satisfied with the other shampoos I had used. This was purchased to be used by my teenage daughter. She has fine, thick hair and the moisturizing shampoos (other brands) are too heavy for her fine hair. I thought this might be a good choice to clean without weighing down. Yes, this does the job. It is a good price, a good shampoo, we like the smell and we would repurchase this. I will be using Back to Basics again. I had somehow forgotten about this brand!Pros:

By far this is the best shampoo I have used, you only need to shampoo once and your hair is clean,it feels full and has a lot of body. I recommend it to anyone that likes fullness and shine, my daughter in law also buys it and loves it as well.I would recommend this item to a friend.

In my experience Back to Basics products(I use Apple Ginseng Shampoo & Conditioner) do what they say they're going to do. A friend of mine who cuts hair recommended these products. I recently ran out, and compromised, thinking that I could find something else that would work. I am trying to be more "natural" in what I am using, and was looking to save some money, so I tried something from Trader Joes. I really didn't like the way my hair was looking, so I made a point of buying these products, and once again, I love how full and silky soft my hair is.
