I have been using Goldwell Tophic Professional Hair Color for a period of time. I am completely satisfied with the results. The color is rich, conditioning, and leaves my hair looking healthy. I have tried other products but I prefer using Goldwell.

I have been using Goldwell color for years at home - with the same professional results as a salon. Always rich, great color leaving hair with beautiful shine. I added this 8A (just a small amount) to offset the "warmth" of the other 7NN plus 8NN I use. This was the suggestion of my stylist.

I've been coloring my own hair for over 30 years and, without a doubt, Goldwell hair color is THE BEST, especially the Top Chic line. Goldwell as a whole is an awesome color line. Great gray coverage ( if covering white then yes you will come out a bit darker with any N series but it is possible to find the best formula ex: if you desire med brown results and are 50% gray try 6n with 1/4 or 1/2 oz 5n to start and adjust as necessary. 5n alone can be too dark for some. Yes it will fade some but but if you don't want that dark for the first week or 2 try my recommendation. Goldwell leaves hair a bit shinier than others as well.

Finally true salon color at home...Goldwell is the very best color you can use...covers gray, you don't need goop on your skin because it doesn't stain, color lasts for weeks. Lovely smell too...

I have used Goldwell Topchic for a couple of years now and like it because it does not have too much chemicals and harmful fumes. This is a high quality professional hair color that is stable, it does not run in the shower and does not fade as fast as other colors. I would say this is the best quality hair color in the market. However, you need to be very careful to get the color right. You need to use the 5NN to cover the grays but you need to be very careful because it may come out very dark. So if you want the result to be a medium shade of brown or mahogany brown, mix the 5NN and the other color in equal amounts (one to one, ratio). If you use more of the 5NN, your hair color will come out a very dark brown almost black. If you use less of the 5NN, it will not cover the grays. Also the instructions on the box say that you should use equal amounts of the hair color and the developer, one to one, ratio. Well, that will make your hair color darker. I struggled with this product for a long time trying to prevent the color getting so dark until one time when I accidentally doubled the amount of the developer and bingo! My hair color came out lighter, the grays are covered and the mahogany is beautiful. The problem is if your hair comes out darker than you want, you can never make the color lighter unless you use a color remover and that will fry up your hair. I had to have a professional hair colorist remove the dark 5NN from my hair but it did make my hair extremely dry, not to mention that I paid about $300 for it. So beware when you use the 5NN! if you can get the amounts right, you will love this color!

I am a huge fan of goldwell color. I do my own root touchups and have color service done with my hairdresser every 2 months. This hair color does a fantastic job of covering gray, being true color without brassiness and doesn't require as much upkeep. There is no hair color product that comes close to Goldwell.

Love this color and plan also trying it at a level 8 when a I want to go a bit lighter. I love the darker appearance with the burnished gold coloring. It's a great alternative for fall/winter when I like toning the brighter gold down that I use in the spring/summer.
