So I knew I would NEVER Get it out of MY Beautiful BLONDE Hair So I dyed it Very Dark Brown with A Brown Filler So Ive been Dying it brown for the last 12 Months. So I was researching how to get artificial colors out of my daughters hair. We used Color Fix ONCE! And It worked Beautiful! Then it hit Me...... I will try it And It took 20 mins Took me from dark brown To medium red And my hair felt HEALTHY!!!!!! Ive bleached my hair for years And have damaged it so bad it was slimy And turned to straw THIS STUFF WAS AWESOME I Just did it for the second time Its a strawberry blonde now Im hoping A few more times and I could be blonde I love it !!!!! ROTTON EGG SMELL IS PRETTY YUCKY But I guess its better that your hair falling out Anyone have an idea how to neutralize this stink?

    Losing all my hair
    October 3, 2016
Used as directed. Only left it on about ten minutes. Hair turned orange. Quickly rinsed it out thoroughly. Washed it out. Stinks for weeks. Then my hair starts falling out. Bald spots where I used to have lovely thick hair. Should start a class action. Scared and panic stricken. Going to see a specialist.
    None. Ansolutely none.
Damages hair, bald spots, thinning in other areas, stinks so bad your home will never be rid of it. No warnings about hair falling out.

I used this to remove a red hair dye gone wrong. I had some dark patches from a previous color and the red wasn't exactly what I wanted. This color remover got rid of all the colors evenly without damaging my hair. Let me clarify that this isn't a bleach so it didn't lighten my hair, it only removed the permanent pigments I had in my hair. My roots were unaffected and the rest of my hair turned a coppery brown. Now my hair is ready for a new color application. Also, I've seen in some reviews of complaints that this didn't remove their pink or purple color. This DOES NOT work on semi-permanent pure pigment colors. It's for permanent color only. And the smell, yeah it smells sort of like eggs but it's not too horrible. It fades after a few washes.
It really works and it's not damaging.
    Smells bad.

Not my first time using a hair color remover but first time using this one. Very impressed!

I really like this product and I am so excited about color removers in general - the technology of shrinking the hair dye molecules so you can rinse them out of your hair without removing any natural pigment has revolutionized color correction. It is better for your hair than bleach and much easier to use without professional training. I have only tried a home brand called Color Oops, which I also love but I think I may like this one even better. Pros - creamy formulation makes for less mess, more product in the package so it can be used more than once (I got three applications out of it) and I think it smells a bit nicer although they both smell strongly of sulfur. One of the biggest pros for me is that you only have to rinse the product out for 3-5 minutes. Color Oops requires 15-20 minutes, a shampoo, and then rinsing again for 15-20 minutes. This is really hard to do and I always find myself either running out of hot water or resetting my water heater to a hotter setting temporarily so I don't run out. I am a bit confused about the extra processing step, however, at the end with Color Fix. Basically, in step 3, you pour hydrogen peroxide on your hair and let it sit for for 5 minutes. I am not sure what the purpose of this step is. Perhaps they do it as a safety measure for people who do not adequately rinse out their dye molecules so they know to repeat the color removal? Or is it changing the hair pH or porosity to prepare it for a color service? Jheri Redding, please let us know what this step is about! I have heard many people are just skipping it. And if you do this step and it makes your hair darker, it means you still have color molecules in your hair and need to repeat the service, so skipping it is probably not the best idea. If your hair would darken with the hydrogen peroxide, it will darken eventually anyway, when you go to apply your next color (most color formulas use hydrogen peroxide developer) or it will darken gradually over the course of days if you apply no color as these molecules will not stay small forever. I am very curious as to why this product requires less rinsing but I pleased. Give us a website with some more information Jheri Redding. I am really digging this product though.
doesn't damage hair, nice creamy formulation, easy to use, not a lot of rinsing required, more than one application per bottle
price is a bit high, no idea what the processing step is about, does not appear to be a lot of information about product available

I bought this product in hopes of removing a dark burgundy color I had in my hair and it did exactly that!. I am Domincan I have a lot of hair (I take up 2-3 box dyes) I thought I needed two boxes of this color remover but one box did it for me. I applied this to my hair for 25 minutes and sat under the hair dryer on low heat. After 10 minutes I checked in the mirror and my hair was extremely light. After using this product my hair is a golden light brown which is a color I had in my hair in the summer. I put black hair dye in my hair, then after a few months removed the hair color using a product called "Color Oops" after removing the black I dyed it red twice to only reach a dark burgundy. This is when I decided to buy this One N Only Color fix which removed the burgundy and black I guess and brought my hair back to the light golden brown I had in the summer. It was not what I was expecting but I am pleased with the results!! Thank you One N Only Color Fix!!! XoXoXo and no it does not smell that bad and who cares as long is it does its job!!!!!

I bought this because I am a natural blonde who went brunette a while ago. I decided that keeping up with the roots was too much of a hassle so I began researching. I was scared to try bleach in that my hair would die and I'd have to cut it all off. I looked for natural ways to remove color so I could get rid of some of the brown. Then I found this. I decided to try it and it worked within the first try! I wasn't completely satisfied with the removal after one use so I did it twice, but overall most of the color is gone. The only complaint I have is the smell. Oh the smell. I would call it a mix of rotten eggs and chemicals. It was awful, and it stayed in my hair and bathroom for a while. But, I would say it's worth it for the results I got.

Bought it to take out black and ended up with brown. Was looking to grow out my natural silver gray 'sparkle' through my natural dark brown/black. The goal is to avoid bleach and redying. I used this product 2 days ago, could have gotten two uses out of it. I will be doing it again tomorrow to continue to strip any fake color out of my hair so I can to see what is "natural" underneath. I will update again. Hoping to see natural silver to show reducing of black dye
    lighten hair
    may need few applications

    COLOUR FIX - works!
    July 30, 2013
it was easy. i mixed bottle 1 and 2, and then just ran it through my hair with my bare hands. its not a bleach, so it did not give me any discomfort to do this. i kept running it through my hair ( like putting in a hair product) untill all of my hair was coated. I did not apply this like a hair dye, parting hair at the roots and massaging into the scalp. Just put in my hand and ran throguh hte hair. it worked within 25 mins. i rinsed for maybe 3 min, shampood well, conditioned and rinsed again. It was not harsh to the hair, it didnt feel damaged. I took the black streaks and stripped them to a warm caramel colour on my natural blond hair. ( btw, nothing happened to my natural hair colour, as I was a bit worried what this would do) The smell is bad but not overwhelming like some say. It smells like a cross between a perm, skunk and burning rubber mixed with an attempted parfum enhancement. It was no "stronger in odour" then a regular hair dye... just a differnent scent. my hair still smells faintly of it today. I did use step 3 ( the step many have skipped) I was ocncearned that my hair woudl process back to dark if I didnt "lock" it. So, i put it on ( this is refered to as lotion on the bottle, but its actually the consistancy of water.) and within a minute i could tell my hair was darkening again. (SOMETHING THEY WARN YOU OF IN THE INSTRUCTIONS) So, i rised immediatley. and this darkening effect stopped. It didnt go back to the black it was, it left me with a nice caramel brown... but not as light as after just using the 1& 2 bottle. Id like to know the true risk of not using step 3, as I woudl be tempted not to use it if i had to strip my hair again in teh future. All in all, PRODUCT WORKS WONDERS, AND DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO.
WORKS WELL, AND FAST EASY!!! im talking i could almost do this with my eyes closed, lol.
SMELLS step 3 did start to turn it darker again within 1 min. i RINSEd it immediatley, and the darkening stopped.

    Very impressive color reducer!
    July 12, 2012
I am a professional licensed colorist. There have been a few products available to help reduce the artificial color molecule but non as impressive as one 'n only! I have used yo remove unwanted greens from pool water and well water to slight color brightening to 3-4 levels lighter with proper toning. For the price, this is an amazing product! There is NO formaldehyde in this product as I saw in a comment made about this product. It leaves the hair in very good shape if the hair is healthy to start. I I've this product
The incredible ease of pigment removal! The quality it will leave the hair!
I do not like the after odor left in the hair. It takes many shampoos to remove this odor from the hair but this is my only complaint.

Has possibility to make hair fall out
    January 14, 2012
Please do not use this product unless you want to take a chance for your hair to fall out! and I'm serious. Most people may get a good result from using this product but there is a risk involved. I must be one of the few people that this has happened to as I cant find anyone else this has happpened to in other reviews. I have been to a doctor and dermatologists but with no answers. Was given a cream to try and it only made it worse so went back to derm and was told to take claritan twice a day.. Guess what? my hair is still falling out! I was very embarassed by what was happening to me and wouldnt tell anyone and became very depressed for a few weeks. Then I knew I had to get help. I did and now I am trying to warn others and ask anyone I know about what I can do. I get no answers. This is devastating to me and I do not want anyone else to go through this. I followed the directions and left it on for 20 min, I left out step 3 and never dyed afterwards as I was happy with the color it was after colorfix. I thought my hair was just damaged and breaking off at first but no, its falling out from the root along with my scalp burning, looking pinkish red, and itching horribly. I have found an all natural shampoo that has helped with the scalp issues but not resolved them. While looking and trying to figure out what happened to me with this product I found the material safety data sheet online. WOW! I read it and couldnt believe I put this on my scalp. It has some serious health concerning ingredients and contains FORMALDEYHYDE releasing agents! Even though the box says it doesnt contain formaldeyhyde. Just google one n only colorfix MSDS and the pdf will come up. Im still hoping to find a solution to my problem and am going to see a wellness doctor next week. I hope no one experiences this as my hair has been falling out since september 2011. PLEASE dont take the chance for this to happen! Find other ways to fade your dark color

I dyed my hair jet black and I loved it but then I did not like as much as I thought I would. So I wanted to lift it so I could go back to my auburn brown hair. I purchased this product and it did the job and did it well. No harsh chemicals or odors. My hair came out a light red and I apply a semi-permanent auburn. My hair looks amazing!!

Have you ever colored your hair and for some reason or another. Messed it up? This product will undo your hair coloring mistakes. The color is removed in a series of stages. You can remove a little color or all of the color it is up to you. From time to time I have issues with my hair color and I keep this product on hand just in case.

Review for One 'n Only ColorFix - by Jheri Redding

I had medium blonde hair with ends that were too light. I did an all over color with Clairol Perfect 10 in dark blonde hoping to even out the color and get it closer to my natural color. The results were horrible. The majority of my hair turned an unnatural dull transparent ash color. I was afraid to use color fix, but I figured that it couldn't make my hair much worse than it was. You need to purchase gloves and a mixing bottle or bowl/brush separately. I did the "slight" color correction which omits the processing lotion in the mix. The instructions recommend this method for hair that is too dark or ashen. I only left the mix on my hair for about 4 minutes. The results were incredible. It lightened the color a shade and removed all the "ashen" color. Now it has a nice, even, medium, neutral to golden blonde hue. I couldn't be happier.

My 16 year old daughter used the permanent jet black hair color, then tried everything to get it out with no luck. I called several local hair salons and no one would even touch her hair! All they said was, "Good luck!" I read the reviews here and thought it was worth a try. We put Color Fix on twice (same evening) and my daughter actually liked the color she ended up with, so we didn't even color it again. This product is AMAZING and well worth the cost!

Had to be a bridesmaid, thought a gentle semi light brown would be nice the day before the wedding. Stupid, dare I say it, possibly possessed by Satan hairdresser managed to dye my hair black. This was possibly the worst experience of my life, and I once had a brain haemmorhage, so I don't speak lightly. I looked utterly hideous. Even my scalp was black. No time to get it fixed before the wedding. Have burned any photo of the event with me in it. Tried everything to get the dye out. Hairdresser said, oh dear, we'll have to strip your hair and it will take the best part of a day to get it back to something approaching normal and it will ruin your hair. Also said it wasn't their fault. Yeah, right. I was too emotionally shattered to argue. Found Colorfix on the internet, because there is nothing like this available in Australia. Gave it a whirl. Didn't leave it on very long and used the shampoo method because I don't think I could cope with another hair disaster. It's OK. Nice auburn (alright, red) highlights on the old mousy brown near original colour. How I love mousy brown hair. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Colorfix.

WOW! This product is like magic Ive died my hair many times my last color was cinnamon color that was achived by bleaching, my hair is naturally dark about a 2 or 3. when the roots grew out I wanted to temporarily blend them until I could afford a professional lightening service I put blueblack celephane in my hair and it turned bight green I freaked out because I a had an interview the next day so I bought bigen powder in oriental black I figured beacuse my hair was so light it wouldnt get too dark boy was I wrong I looked like a corpse my boyfriend told me I looked like a witch person. I tired to wash it with baby shampoo (stripping) for a month & it wouldnt budge I bought the box @ sallys only used the fist to bottles because the color was still darker than what I had started at. Now my hair is a pretty light mahogany color I think Im going to leave it like this for a little whyle Though my hair smells like fart it still feal very stong and has shine and thats the best part because salon correction services bleach hair dye out and damage it .I was told to shave my head to get the black out HA! . Im very impressed I cant belive my eyes. BUY IT

Hi I recently purchased this product of One'n a beauty supply house. I have colored my hair and it is now really dark. colored about 3 months ago. We have well water with a water softener. No when I bought this product the gal said you are gonna need help putting this on. So I called a friend who owns a beauty shop and asked her about putting it on and she said she wouldn't want to do it ...she afraid it will do more harm than good. I am 60 yrs old and have very fine hair, ALWAYS have...... even when I was a little girl. so what do you suggest?

By Barbara from Lakewood CO on March 9, 2015
the instructions say to leave the product on then rinse and when the desired color is achieved then use the processing lotion. When we did this there was basically no color removed until we applied the processing lotion. At what point should the processing lotion be used?
