Liked color, but not burning, itching scalp.

Have others had this experience? Stylist perhaps left it on too long, and let it run down the back of my neck. It was there that the reaction was worst. Would light brown be less likely to cause a reaction than medium brown?
    Pros:
good, lasting color, good texture and shine.

    Great Haircolor
    August 15, 2014
I have tried many hair colors in the same share but Goldwell products are great. They do not fade on me at all and also on friends. A lot of the other hair colors tend to turn brassy looking but not this product. Try it you will love it.

I have had Goldwell color on my hair since the 80's, which was always applied by a professional until the last ten years. Goldwell is the best! So I have been using Topchic 7NBK with 20 volume developer on my roots, and Colorance 8N on the length. My natural hair color is a level 6.5 warm brown with lots of red and gold, that really come out in the summer. I am only using Neutral for the grey coverage, not to cool down my reds and golds. Since the Nectaya line is pretty limited in terms of shades, I was wondering how I could replicate 7NBK for my base. There aren't any mixing colors, or 7B/7K. I would like to try Nectaya to see my hair will improve in terms of condition. I will continue to use Colorance on the length, and only use Nectaya on the roots. Any suggestions to achieve the 7NBK coloring I currently have? Thanks!
By Maiia from San Jose, CA on June 15, 2014

    Answer:
You can try 7BN or the mix 7N+7BN (50:50)

which developer do I have to use?

By Evelyn from Washington on September 5, 2014

    Answer:
What is the difference between Goldwell Nectaya Nurturing Hair Color and the regular Colorance hair colors? I see a little price difference. Do I use TopChic for gray root coverage as it is a permanent hair color? Which developer peroxide percentage do I use with TopChic for root coverage? Thank you very much!

By Joyce Stavert from San Francisco, Ca on August 30, 2014
I'd like to use nectaya, but it does not offer both of my colors. Can I use one nectaya color (7N) and developer, and then mix the regular goldwell topchic color (7KV) I use?

By Evelyn from Washington on September 5, 2014
I am going to start using Goldwell hair color. Can you use just part of a "permanent" hair color tube to customize mixing colors and then reuse the left over portion weeks later? Any suggestions for a medium brown with a little warm red. Would these colors then be mixed with developer? Which developer strength should I use to cover gray roots - 3% peroxide or 6% or more?
Also, when using the colorance "semi" color for the gentler all over hair color do I mix that with developer also and which developer should I use for the all over color?
I am guessing to start off I'll need the color tubes, developer(s), dosage system?, mixing bowl - anything else?
I need to get the gloss look and have read just using the clear semi color adds shine - is this correct?
    Thank you so much!

If I have/had medium brown hair, warm but not too red, and want that shade to cover grey, what shade should I pick?
By MAIIA from San Jose, CA on January 5, 2014

    Answer:
Use 20 volume developer to cover gray hair. Also for great coverage of gray hair you'll need natural shadows of the color, ex. 6NN, 7NN (depended of the color level that you want).

wanting a rich carmel color. tell me about these colors and how they differ from colorance and top chic.
By Maiia from San Jose, CA on December 29, 2013

    Answer:
Topchic is the permanent (contains ammonia) alkaline hair color.
Colorance is a demi-permanent hair color that contains no ammonia. Patented acidic formula with a mild pH of 6.8.
Nectaya is permanent hair color with patented IntraLipid : to replenish lost lipids inside the hair.

I HAVE DARK BROWN COLORED HAIR MY ROOTS ARE 100% GREY. I BROUGHT NECTAYA 3N WITH 20 VOLUME HOW LONG SHOULD I LEAVE ON ROOTS TO MATCH ENDS ? 1 TO 1 MIX RIGHT?
By Maiia from San Jose, CA on August 12, 2014

    Answer:
Use a 1:1 mixing ratio. Standard processing time: 30 minutes. Use the mix only over your roots. For the length of hair is better to "fresh" the color using non-permanent colors like Colorance acid color.

By Linda from Pgh, PA on August 1, 2014

By MAIIA from San Jose, CA on January 5, 2014

Been using Top Chic and Colorance 6NN and 6B.& 6RB Wanting to try Nectaya in colors that might be a little lighter than 6B and a mix of 6RB is giving me. Since Nectaya is limited can you suggest colors for me to try that would give me a similar look. Thanks so much!

By Maiia from San Jose, CA on July 17, 2014

The color can't light the hair that was already colored. You can choose new color with levels 6 or darker.

Are the color results the same for the Goldwell Nectaya & Topchic? I didn't see the Nectaya when I recently purchased the Topchic color & 20 vol developer. Since the Nectaya is ammonia free, it would seem to be better for the condition of your hair but I don't know if the results are the same with/without ammonia. If anyone has tried both products, please let me know your opinion. Thank you!
