    Did not like
My beautician usually uses a sensitive relaxer on my hair. This relaxer irritated my scalp. My scalp was still burning the next day. I washed my hair, but it still continued to burn. I will never use this product again

    Healthy hair!
Affirm FiberGuard product line has been the best thing to happen to my relaxed hair. It actually feels stronger and healthier after using! Once I finish the 4 step process, I use the step 3 Sustenance again as a deep conditioner for 30 minutes, air dry for about an hour, then color my gray roots with demi permanent colorance. Regular is too strong since it takes a while to apply by myself, so I use Mild; never any problems with burning, and straightens wonderfully!

    Love It!
I bought this set and used it today and it relaxes very well. I have fine hair so I mixed mine with a little coconut oil & almond oil and it came out perfect. It didn't burn not one bit. I saw many great things about Affirm and guess what they are true. No dry feeling after I relaxed just wonderful results.
ProsDidn't take long to relax curls.

Which strength is stronger? Normal, Mild, Resistant
'Resistant' is the strongest, for those with thick coarse hair. Some products have 'super', which basically is for the same type of hair. Also the stronger the relaxer, the faster it works.

Is this the real product. I though only professional license people Could purchase
This is the real deal. I have been using it for about 6 months now along with other Avlon products and I plan to stick to this product line for a long time. I use the Affirm products and the KeraCare and my hair has never looked better and been more easy to manage. Love this stuff!

What is the shelf life of this relaxer? I will only use it about 4 times a year and I don't want it to expire on me.
I've been using this for years and the longest I've kept one is for almost 2 years; the integrity was just as new. I really don't think relaxers (lye) expires once you don't get it contaminated, you can keep it for a very long time.

My hair is very thick and coarse, which affirm should I use?
It all depends on a number of things. Is this your first relaxer....you need to take into consideration how you hair really handles a relaxer, what is the condition of your scalp? I would say do a strand test. Fiberguard is the perfect choice as it does not overprocess your hair. I also have thick coarse hair and can use the resistant/coarse, but I always use normal because I also have SD on my scalp.

Is this ready to use? Do I have to mix anything into it?
Before applying it you have to use strengthening serum to entire head and do not rinse it.then you can apply the fiberguard relaxer to the hair.after waiting time you need to condition your hair and normalize it.
