durable, easy to clean, and a must have for the Topchic canisters
Because Topchic color is a thick cream and not a liquid which self levels when poured, I pour the developer into the bowl first then add the color from the canister using volume displacement to accurately measure the color in the 1:1 ratio. Note: the product instructions say to "attach" the canister to the bowl. The canister doesn't actually attach, the nozzle inserts into the gasket opening on the bottom of the bowl and the bowl has to be held in place while you press down on the bowl to dispense the hair color.
Prosfor use with economical Topchic canisters.

I bought this with a cylinder included. But, when measuring developer, it leaks out of the cylinder and into the bowl before I can dispense color from the canister. It seems there is no seal created when attaching the cylinder. Please help!
Which cylinder? To accurately measure out Developer Lotion you need to attach Color Measuring Bowl to Goldwell Deporately.

I need to buy this item when i buy canister?? Because i bought but i dont know how can I open to get tint.
This bowl works with canister to allow tint out and measure it. Although I like the additional product, a cylinder that also fits in bowl, for additional precision. Bowl also works with developer attachment (another additional product) to again dispense developer.

Yes you do need to use the bowl when you purchase a canister of color. Many benefits to using a canister, the product stays fresh, it's economical and comes in larger quantities. However, you can only remove the product from the canister with the bowl, unlike with tubes that can just squeeze into any bowl. The bowl for canister use is very easy to use, just attach the base that's pictured to the bowl, a simple alignment and twist and its on. Remove the plastic tabs on the top of the canister, place the bowl on the slim nozzle on top of the canister and push down, the color will dispense into the measuring bowl. You're done! Give it a try, you'll be glad you did and you'll love the canisters.

There's a plastic protection/cap you have to remove first on the new canister. Then push this bowl down on the canister's top to pump out color. There is an attachment to measure the amount of color you pump which you would then double with developer lotion. The best way to learn is to practice with your hairdresser because the first time is not that easy!

Hi... You must buy the measuring bowl. The bowl, with base, is then pressed down on the top of the canister to release the dye. You also get a precise measurement too. Be sure to buy a mixing whisk, it makes blending the dye and developer much easier. A good brush to apply the dye is also a good idea. Goldwell is fabulous hair color. You'll love it!

How do I attach the Goldwell cannister to the mixing bowl? Please show illustration.
If there is a plastic tab covering the tiny tube where the product comes out of canister- pull that tab. Then, simply press the bowl down onto the top of canister and it starts to fill the bowl from the bottom.

you have to insert the nozzle of the canister into the bottom of the measuring bowl and the foam will come up into the bowl. A bit hard to judge the amount at that point but take it slow and it works good.

You don't actually attach it. The bowl fits over the can like a cap and when up push down on the bowl the foam is dispersed into the bowl from the bottom. When you take the bowl off the top of the can the valve on the bowl closes. Very neat and simple to use.

Hi Joyce, After removing a small plastic piece on the top of the Goldwell canister, place the Goldwell color measuring bowl on top of the canister and press down. The color will come up into the bowl from the bottom. Make sure you clean the bowl very well after you use it and dry the bottom opening because the small mechanism can rust over time from moisture if you don't dry it. Hope this helps! Shelley Patton

We don't actually use goldwell colour, but I believe that you place the bottom of the bowl on top of the canister and push down the colour will then released into the bowl. The bowl does not actually attach to the canister.

I am very sorry to tell you that I do not have a Goldwell cannister. Therefore, I do not know how to attach it. I don't even know what a cannister is???? All I can tell you when is that when I am measuring, I do use a kitchen scale to insure I use 2.1 ozs of 10 volume developer to 2.1 ozs of the Goldwell Topchic Hair Color. I am 100 gray and I leave the hair color on for 45 minutes. I hope this helps you out. Tinae

No, I sit the bowl on the canister first. I was actually very unhappy with the canister/bowl thing... I'm not sure if I got a defective canister or bowl. It worked fine the first time and then the flow of the cream became so slow that I cant use it anymore. The canister is probably 75% full and I can't get the cream out of it.

I always add the color first. You have to push the measuring bowl down onto the can of color and the color comes up through the center of the bowl - the consistency is kind of like marshmallow fluff so I use an applicator brush to smooth out the color to make sure I have the right amount and since I've "flattened" the color I can now add the developer on top - the color is thicker than the developer so its easy to see the difference.

There is a special pump used for the developer as well. Once you get the pump the pump, the developer enters the bowl from the bottom. It is a neat and accurate way of measuring for great consistent coloring.

It is advisable to add the developer lotion first before adding your color canister..this way you would be able to measure the contents easily...you pour on the bowl, then sit the bowl on top of color canister with a bit of pressure. Topchic is 1:1 ratio. Good luck.

I think it is the pressure inside the canister actually does the trick of dispensing. The bowl won't have anything wrong unless it is broken. You might want to shake the canister a little or let it sit in room temp before dispense it. If it still not working, i would think the canister is mulfunctional.

I get the color in first using the bowl and watch the measurment line. If the color stops at line 20, then you need poor the lotion till the surface reaches to 40. likewise if the color reaches to 30, the lotion needs to be at 60. Half color and half lotion is the formula in the instruction.

Yes. You need the little tube portion and the bowl. You attach the tube to the middle of the inside of the bowl. Remove the black tab on the cannister and then place it on the black portion of the underside of bowl. gently press down and it will fill the tube. Stop when you reach the desired ml. amount.
