    Got some better advice
My first review stated that I shed more hair which was true but I did not apply the product correctly. I washed my hair with kera care shampoo and then apply the reconstructor and left in longer then I did the first time and once it was rinsed and my hair restored with kera care conditioner my hair definitely felt softer and I less hair came out when I blow dried. It is important to use professional products with care other wise your hair might fall out! Lucky for me it was a one time mistake. :-)
    ProsStrengthens hair

Reminds me of Dudley's DRC Treatment
This reconstructor reminded me of Dudley's DRC treatment (which I love) in it's consistency and how effective it is. I like it a lot because it stopped any breakage I had and keeps my relaxed hair strong for a long time. I tend to use it once every 8 weeks if needed or every 10 weeks just to keep breakage from happening followed by a very deep moisturizing conditioner to put the flexibility back in my hair. Prevention is better than cure. Between the Super Reconstructor treatments, I use a milder reconstructor so my hair stays soft and manageable..
    ProsStrengthening ability
ConsBottle is pretty small but you don't need to use it often so I guess it lasts a long time as a result.

    Great product
I just recently started using this product because my hair had become so dry after getting it colored & then permed. It is working great to restore moisture and strength back to my hair. Thank you God!!
ProsIt seams to do what it's ment to do. I have no complaints only graditude because my hair is not breaking off anywhere near like it was, and I have only used it twice so far!!!

    Love This Stuff!!
Does exactly what it says. Hair is so soft and managable afterwards. If Kera Care goes bankrupt I'll cut all my hair off! Some were asking about how often to use this product. Once a week is possibly fine, but I do once a month. I use Kera Care's other conditioning products to deep condition once a week, which is when I normally wash my hair. Still I would think once a week is maybe a bit too often.
ProsSoft managable hair Shiny Healthy hair Little goes a long way

    AN EXCELLENT TREATMENT
This was my first time using the kera care super reconstructor; but i must say that i was well please with this product. The kera care super reconstructor really makes your hair very strong. When using this product make that you follow behind with kera care humecto creme conditoner.
ProsThe most that i like about this product is that it makes your hair so strong.

A Best Seller Conditioner With Me
After five to six weeks of having a perm, this conditioner allows one's hair to appear as if it has just been permed. It adds smoothness from the root of the hair to the ends of the hair in just ten minutes under the dryer guaranteed!
ProsIt allows hair to appear as if you stepped out of the hair salon.

    Great protein treatment
This product is for professional use because the stylist will have to deep condition your hair after any protein treatments. My hair felt stronger after use.
    ConsNot for at home use.

Is this product really worth $30? Does it really work? What does it do?
YES....$30 seems a little pricey, however, it does what it advertises. I have a short cut, which requires extra processing; i perm my hair at least once month, if not 2, because of all the extra chemicals being used on my hair, I use the reconstructor probably the next day after the perming or coloring. I probably have the entire line of KeraCare and Avalon products, they are exceptional, I love them. KeraCare also has a hair mask, works great as well, although the perm system has a reconstructor as well ... STEP 2.

I really have had good experiences with KeraCare products but must say that this one did not work well for me. I found that it really dryed my hair and although I understand that you must use a moisturizing conditioner in conjuction with it (and did), I was not impressed with how it made my hair feel. I had to rewash my hair and complete a deep conditioning to get the soft, non-stringy feel I am used to. It still may be a good product, just not for my hair. I found success with Mizani and Nexxus products and even the 5 in 1 Reconstructor by Affirm.

do i use the reconstructor first or do i put the rinse in first?
What rinse are you referring to? I use the KeraCare reconstructer about once every 6 weeks. I use it right after I shampoo, & before I deep condition with a conditioner that's a bit more moisturizing. I've also rinsed with apple cider vinegar afterward, but I've only done that once with decent results (less tangles). I hope that helps!

After shampooing the hair then put the KeraCare Super Rexonsturctor on and sit under the dryer for about 20-30 mins then rince out and style as usual. That is the way I use it.
