It is a good thermo protectant but if you have damaged hair like I have your hair can be not very soft and shiny. It is may be better for colored hair

Protects hair from heat well!!
This is a great protectant if you're going to use heat on your hair, blow dryer, hair straightener etc. It's also great in that it doesn't weigh your hair down & I have fine hair. The only thing that I was hoping for, was a little bit more slip. So I add a little Kerastase Oleo Serum on top of this to give me that slip & I'm good to go.

protects from heat
Protects hair from heat damage and smells great. It can make hair feel a bit heavy, so only use a little bit.

Really nice, lightweight heat protectant
This is an extremely lightweight heat protectant. It doesnt offer any added moisture benefits, but does provide nice protection from heating appliances. If too much is used, it can be sticky, but overall this is nice for fine hair as it doesnt weigh the hair down. Using just the right amount will give added shine and smoothness to the hair. My only complaint is the scent...very strong floral. And i hate the smell of flowers.
ProsLightweight
ConsScent, can be sticky if too much is used

Outstanding!
I decided to buy this product because I blow-dry my hair twice weekly. The experience was great! The product was like a shield factor protector to my hair. The best part , is a leave-in product that does not weigh own your hair.
ProsThe quality, the texture and that it smells good.

Do you shampoo, towel dry, then put this in your hair? Or do you shampoo, condition, then use this as an extra conditioner? I'm just confused whether or not to use my normal conditioner in the shower as well before putting this in my hair.
I have long, thick and curly hair that I straighten after every wash. I always shampoo AND condition before using any leave-in/no-rinse treatments or styling products. This product is quite light and leaves my hair silky and soft without adding any weight, but still protects from the damages of heat styling. I started out using only a tiny amount until i determined how much was right for my hair, and have even added a little more after drying to smooth down some of the strays. I have been using Kerastse products for 14 years now and have never found anything that comes even close!

This is used in addition to your normal shampoo and conditioning. It is used to help protect it when you blow dry your hair. I use about a dime or nickel size rub it between my two hands and apply. I use other products too to help control my frizzy a and to straighten hair.

I shampoo and condition in the shower, towel dry and then apply about a walnut size amount of Nectar Thermique into my hair. So I use it as a leave-in conditioner. I LOVE this product! I also use the Kerastase Nutritive shampoo and conditioner. Two tips from my hairdresser: 1) in the shower, after putting conditioner in, use a comb to pull it through before it sits for a few minutes. This really helps and you'll find you use/need less conditioner; and 2) for the leave-in conditioner, bend over and try to start on the ends and work your way up to the roots. You'll get a more even application this way and will tend to not need/use as much. Good luck!!!

You should, shampoo, condition, and then use the leave in Nutritive Nectar Thermique. I'm guessing that if you are using this product that you have a problem with dry hair. My hair is extremely dry and brittle, so I don't shampoo but use a conditioner wash instead. Good luck with the product!

You should shampoo and condition in the shower. Use Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique on towel-dried hair. Do not rinse out.

I shampoo and condition as normal, then apply this to towel-dried hair and comb through. This is how my stylist instructed me to use the product. Hope it helps!

Your second option is correct. There may be other ways to use this, but my hairdresser will normally shampoo and condition my hair, then give it a quick towel dry. Then she puts the Nectar Thermique on first before any other styling products. Then she will add a product with more hold like the Forme Fatale volumizing gel and then proceed to blow dry my hair. My hair is on the drier side with a lot of flyaways so the Nectar Thermique really helps to hydrate the hair and protect from any heat damage from the blow dryer. Then after it is dry she will use a pump of the Elixir Ultime, which will smooth everything and give the ends more separation. She has definitely got me hooked on Kerastase products!
