Best Keratin Treatment on the market
Tried many Keratin treatments and this by far is the best!
ConsThe only problem is, when blow drying, it releases fumes that make your eyes water.

Great! Cheaper than salon!
My stylist hates that I have found this product and now do my own keratin treatments! Before I found that I could purchase this product myself, I was paying upwards of $150 every 3 months or so for this treatment. Now I just by a bottle for $175 and get almost 3 treatments for the price of one! The process is time consuming but at least you're at home and not stuck at a salon for three hours. I'm sure it's a bit quicker if you've got someone there to help apply and flat iron but I usually just do it myself. I do tend to oversaturate a bit because I want to make sure I get the job done so my hair is a bit greasier than normal by day 3 of the processing time. But overall, it's definitely worth doing yourself. I've even done it for my sister who loved it! By the way, I have naturally curly hair that has been straightened via the thermal japanese processes for several years. I've been doing the keratin now for almost 3 years and my hair has never been better! Sure it does straighten just like the permanent straighteners but it does a good enough job because my hair withstands the unbearable Georgia humidity!
ProsResults, price
ConsIt is time consuming but worth it

good but hair doesnt look too healthy now
My coarse and frizzy hair has smoothed down a lot but 2 months in my hair is starting to look very dry and dried, especially the ends. My friend used a different keratin treatment called Cocoa keratin and her hair seems perfectly fine...probably because of the argan oil in it, so I'm starting to doubt this Coppola one....:(

Consseems to dry hair out

Great Results!
I've used this product a few times now. The results are amazing. My formerly obnoxiously frizzy hair is now very smooth and softer than it's ever been. My blow drying time is much shorter now. This treatment will last 2 1/2 - 3 months. Don't let your stylist tell you that it will last for 6 months because no one I know has gotten much beyond the 3 month mark. You definitely need someone to help you if you have long hair, unless you're very proficient at flat ironing. Oh, and if you're considering buying this product to straighten your hair, don't. It's definitely not a straightener.
ProsEliminates frizz entirely.

Is this product safe to little girls (6 years)?
There is nothing on the label that indicates it would be more dangerous for a child than for an adult. If you can keep her hands busy and off her hair while you apply it (a toy or movie should help) and then for 1/2 hour afterwards (I use a shower cap to contain mine), the only real danger would be from the 450 degree flat iron. So, I guess my answer would be: it depends upon how still and calm the child is!

I believe the product is safe. The process might be a little lengthy for a six year old. The smell might be overwhelming for a six year old as well. If you do decide to use the product for her make sure the room is well ventilated.

I don't think it's recommended for such a young age. The fumes may be a bit much for such a little person.

Is this product formaldehyde free or have any harmful chemicals in it ?
My hairdresser, who works on Nordstrom model photo shoots and seems pretty knowledgeable about all haircare products, says that it does not have formaldehyde in it...or, at least not enough to cause problems to the hair. He says he much prefers this product to the newer and more expensive Provana brand. I've used Coppola on myself for over a year and have had no issues with it. My hair is shinier, dries about twice as fast, and holds the ironed-in style beautifully. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Good luck!

This product use to have a 1% formaledhyde and other chemicals not so healty for the stylist. Osha has made the manufacture change the ingredentes and now they pass all laws and regulations. I also notice it is not as strong.

What is better, this or Brazilian Blowout?
I've never had a brazilian blowout, but my swanky hairdresser swears that this is far better. It doesn't have the toxic ingredients that B.B. had. I was initially afraid to do it to myself, but after reading the simple instructions, it was a breeze. My normally frizzy, wiry, and unmanageable hair is now straight, shiny, and takes less than half the time to blowdry. When I wake up in the morning, it's straight! In humid weather, it's still straight! I did the treatment about 2 months ago and it's still going strong. I feel that of all the hair products I have used in my life, this was by far the most immediately and long-lastingly effective, so I highly recommend it. Secret tip: By sulfate-free shampoo to prolong the life of the Keratin treatment.

I've been using Coppola Keratin Smoothing for 3 years and wouldnt use anything else! It last almost 3 months, really smooths my hair- keeping it frizz free, and is really easy to use. Any sulfate free shampoo and conditioner will work to maintain the results.

I was wondering if this product was always formaldehyde free? Last year I used it several times and each time my eyes watered profusely. If there is no formaldehyde, what would make the eyes so sensitive?
