Best product - no other product like it.
This is the same as the L'Oreal Material that was discontinued a couple years ago. It's thick so you don't need a lot. I have really short hair and it works great for styling. Lasts the whole day. Great product!

my husband loves this
My husband uses this and says its better than the other products he has used which were Redken and a crew brand. He says it is easier to work with, better structure and can be reshaped throughout the day if needed. It doesn't leave an oily or wet look and he says washes out well without leaving buildup. He has short very straight hair and this gives him some texture. Without it his hair cut looks fuzzy like a duck.

Just like the old "Material" by Arctec
I have vvery very thick course hair, short hairstyle. This is perfect. Basically the same as Artec Texturline's Material with a better scent. I hope they never discontinue it. The very best!

Great replacement for Material
I used Loreal Architexture Material girl for many, many years. That product has been discontinued. I tried several products, including Bumble & Bumble and Garnier in a vain quest for my Material replacement. After reading the description of Texture Expert I decided this might be a good option. From the first time I opened the lovely, silver jar, I knew I'd found my new go-to product! The feel, smell, and pliability is identical to Material. Fearing Loreal would discontinue this product, I ordered two more! I have very short, fine hair. Texture Expert holds the style without looking or feeling like the Valdese landed on my hair. It's very workable and clean feeling. LOVE IT!
ProsNearly identical to Loreal Architexture Material.

Tames the crazies
I have a lot of very fine hair and this defining paste tames down the fly-aways and keeps hair in place. Not heavy or greasy!

Defentiion without the weight
I have pretty fine hair have my whole life. As you age you lose your hair even if you don't have male pattern baldness but this stuff. Man i feel like I'm back in my teens with such defined and sculpted hair and the finished product looks like you have no product in your hair. I'm a customer for life.

I agree it might be pricy, but to be very honest with you, I've tried a gazillion different gels, paste and waxes for my hair and this one is the ONLY one that I kept coming back to. It's by far my favorite! But again, that depends on each person, each taste!

It's a great product and lasts a long time! I used Loreal Material for many, many years. With that discontinued, I tried Texture Expert and find it is very much the same as Material. I have short hair, some natural curl with a textured cut. The 1.6 oz size lasts about 2 months. I only need a pea size amount. It's not "pasty" or sticky feeling at all. It holds my style, is not heavy or greasy feeling, and smells wonderfully clean. There is no comparison between this product and the cheap drug store stuff. I think it's a bargain!

Its not sticky or heavy and very workable and you do not need a lot to style your hair. It does not have a horrible smell like most others do. It is a great product for the money.
