Holy Grail
This was originally recommended to me by my hairdresser 7 years ago, and it is the best purple shampoo I've used. It's one of the least drying and keeps my blonde hair looking fresh. Highly Recommend.

It for me, was just okay
I tried this for several months and used as directed and saw no results in my salt and pepper (more salt) hair. It did not seem to remove any deposits or make my gray hair brighten and look refreshed. It was also, in my opinion, just OK as a shampoo. I felt it was a bit too drying. But it may work for others. Not so for me. But I do like the Matrix line of shampoos and conditioners..just not this one.
ProsCleans my hair Price is very reasonable
ConsA bit drying. Did not do what it said it could. Just not one I would buy again

brass fighter
Even though its so silver it works great for blonde hair to keep it from going brassy. Whenever my hair is blonde I use this. I'm a product.junkie so I like to experiment, but I always come back to this. Plus, its economical comlared to other salon shampoos. It is probably one of the.stronger purple shampoos out there. It is no sulfate free though. Some people find it drying so I would say to alternate with your reg shampoo.
ProsStrong purple
ConsNot sulfate free

The best shampoo for naturally white hair
or for those with ego issues -- silver hair. Either way, this stuff is incredible. I've been using it for many, many years and love it. Can't recommend it enough.
ProsEverything! Shine. Health. Body. Manageability of hair. No yellow. and the list goes on. . . . .
ConsNone that I've found in over 10 years.

Excellent
Highly recommend this product, it keeps my hair a bright silvery gray color with no 'ugly' tints in it. Very easy to use - just substitute your regular shampoo about once every 6 to 7 shampoos with this product and you will see the difference in your hair within a couple of shampoos.
ProsI can treat it like any regular shampoo and use it in the shower, even though it has a purplish tint to it, I have not experienced any discoloration in my shower equipment or on my towels.
ConsHave not discovered any negatives to this product to date!!!

It's taken me several years to grow my hair long, in my natural color: gray. I want healthy, vibrant color with my natural soft waves to be proud of. Will this product give me my wish?
This product is specifically for grays that have gone through some yellowing. It will tone the unwanted brassiness allowing it to reflect a neutralized hue without all turning your hair purple or blue while also keeping the natural texture in your hair.

Can I use this shampoo in the shower like regular shampoo. The directions about wearing gloves, etc. sound a little daunting. Should this shampoo be treated more like a hair color?
No gloves necessary. Use just like regular shampoo. I leave it on my hair for 10-13 minutes though. It takes away all brassiness.

How does this product work for grey hair?
so silver is a great product for silver hair. It removes the yellow that often builds up on silver hair. You can even use it as a toner by leaving it on for 10 mins creating a nice silver/blue look. i have been using it for about 4 years.

I wouldn't say it is removing the yellow, it is counteracting it with a temporary toner. Because it is only a shampoo and if you washed your hair let's say twice without it after, for sure you are going to see the brassy tones start coming back probably. It is just covering them up in the same way a toner would but obviously not as strong. If you have superbad brassy/yellow probs from the getgo, hair is not being lightened enough and no toner will cover it up Or in this case what you need is prob a few shades lighter which no temp product can do. If this is to freshen up after your hair has been dyed or to maintain then it is different.
