    Love it!!!
As a professional hair stylist home color corrections can be a nightmare! You have to use the right products to remove the right products!! If you don't know what you are doing , go see a pro!!! Step 3 is not a gimmick or a waste and should NOT be tossed in the trash! The directions tell you specifically it's for permanent color only...... and that step 3 will darken slightly! You have to understand base colors etc.... it's the only color remover I ever used that didn't need toned after! Love Love Love it!!!!
ProsDone correctly , you won't need additional toning!

    Love this stuff!
I have used this product for years now! I have used it to correct and also for just giving my hair a fresh base to work with. I never used the Processing Lotion and only do the Correction method because it takes everything out anyways and leaves your hair ready to color. Since using this product, I have found that if you use a natural filler before coloring your color comes out beautiful and lasts much longer. I buy this product at Sally's and if they don't have it in stock, I go right online. You get several applications. I have waist-length hair on the fine side. Happy coloring.
ProsLeaves your hair soft and ready to color immediately.
ConsI don't like instructions printed on inside of box, but take a screen shot of the instructions with my tablet.

Disaster! Hair doesn't hold dye anymore
I have dry, course, curly hair. I decided to go from dark brown to light brown. After using this product my hair smelled like it was sprayed by a skunk. For 3 weeks I couldn't get away from the smell. Cashier at Sally's suggested tomato juice and I was desperate enough to try it, weakened the smell but didn't eliminate it. Now it's 6 months later, the smell is gone but my hair doesn't hold dye any longer. Every time I wash my hair the color leaches out leaving a brown residue in the tub and so far I haven't been able to find someone who knows how to make it stop. Very frustrating!
    ProsIt was cheap.
ConsOngoing problem solving for "side effects".

    Losing all my hair
Used as directed. Only left it on about ten minutes. Hair turned orange. Quickly rinsed it out thoroughly. Washed it out. Stinks for weeks. Then my hair starts falling out. Bald spots where I used to have lovely thick hair. Should start a class action. Scared and panic stricken. Going to see a specialist.
    ProsNone. Ansolutely none.
ConsDamages hair, bald spots, thinning in other areas, stinks so bad your home will never be rid of it. No warnings about hair falling out.

    Works great
I used this to remove a red hair dye gone wrong. I had some dark patches from a previous color and the red wasn't exactly what I wanted. This color remover got rid of all the colors evenly without damaging my hair. Let me clarify that this isn't a bleach so it didn't lighten my hair, it only removed the permanent pigments I had in my hair. My roots were unaffected and the rest of my hair turned a coppery brown. Now my hair is ready for a new color application. Also, I've seen in some reviews of complaints that this didn't remove their pink or purple color. This DOES NOT work on semi-permanent pure pigment colors. It's for permanent color only. And the smell, yeah it smells sort of like eggs but it's not too horrible. It fades after a few washes.
ProsIt really works and it's not damaging.
    ConsSmells bad.

Not my first time using a hair color remover but first time using this one. Very impressed!
I really like this product and I am so excited about color removers in general - the technology of shrinking the hair dye molecules so you can rinse them out of your hair without removing any natural pigment has revolutionized color correction. It is better for your hair than bleach and much easier to use without professional training. I have only tried a home brand called Color Oops, which I also love but I think I may like this one even better. Pros - creamy formulation makes for less mess, more product in the package so it can be used more than once (I got three applications out of it) and I think it smells a bit nicer although they both smell strongly of sulfur. One of the biggest pros for me is that you only have to rinse the product out for 3-5 minutes. Color Oops requires 15-20 minutes, a shampoo, and then rinsing again for 15-20 minutes. This is really hard to do and I always find myself either running out of hot water or resetting my water heater to a hotter setting temporarily so I don't run out. I am a bit confused about the extra processing step, however, at the end with Color Fix. Basically, in step 3, you pour hydrogen peroxide on your hair and let it sit for for 5 minutes. I am not sure what the purpose of this step is. Perhaps they do it as a safety measure for people who do not adequately rinse out their dye molecules so they know to repeat the color removal? Or is it changing the hair pH or porosity to prepare it for a color service? Jheri Redding, please let us know what this step is about! I have heard many people are just skipping it. And if you do this step and it makes your hair darker, it means you still have color molecules in your hair and need to repeat the service, so skipping it is probably not the best idea. If your hair would darken with the hydrogen peroxide, it will darken eventually anyway, when you go to apply your next color (most color formulas use hydrogen peroxide developer) or it will darken gradually over the course of days if you apply no color as these molecules will not stay small forever. I am very curious as to why this product requires less rinsing but I pleased. Give us a website with some more information Jheri Redding. I am really digging this product though.
Prosdoesn't damage hair, nice creamy formulation, easy to use, not a lot of rinsing required, more than one application per bottle
Consprice is a bit high, no idea what the processing step is about, does not appear to be a lot of information about product available

    Loved it!!!!!
I bought this product in hopes of removing a dark burgundy color I had in my hair and it did exactly that!. I am Domincan I have a lot of hair (I take up 2-3 box dyes) I thought I needed two boxes of this color remover but one box did it for me. I applied this to my hair for 25 minutes and sat under the hair dryer on low heat. After 10 minutes I checked in the mirror and my hair was extremely light. After using this product my hair is a golden light brown which is a color I had in my hair in the summer. I put black hair dye in my hair, then after a few months removed the hair color using a product called "Color Oops" after removing the black I dyed it red twice to only reach a dark burgundy. This is when I decided to buy this One N Only Color fix which removed the burgundy and black I guess and brought my hair back to the light golden brown I had in the summer. It was not what I was expecting but I am pleased with the results!! Thank you One N Only Color Fix!!! XoXoXo and no it does not smell that bad and who cares as long is it does its job!!!!!

    Amazing!
I bought this because I am a natural blonde who went brunette a while ago. I decided that keeping up with the roots was too much of a hassle so I began researching. I was scared to try bleach in that my hair would die and I'd have to cut it all off. I looked for natural ways to remove color so I could get rid of some of the brown. Then I found this. I decided to try it and it worked within the first try! I wasn't completely satisfied with the removal after one use so I did it twice, but overall most of the color is gone. The only complaint I have is the smell. Oh the smell. I would call it a mix of rotten eggs and chemicals. It was awful, and it stayed in my hair and bathroom for a while. But, I would say it's worth it for the results I got.

You can save left over product that is not mixed. Once it is mixed it starts to lose its power.

the instructions say to leave the product on then rinse and when the desired color is achieved then use the processing lotion. When we did this there was basically no color removed until we applied the processing lotion. At what point should the processing lotion be used?
This doesn't make sense. The processing lotion is hydrogen peroxide. It reverses the color removal process. It should either have no effect or should darken the hair, not lighten/remove it.

Hi I recently purchased this product of One'n Only.at a beauty supply house. I have colored my hair and it is now really dark. colored about 3 months ago. We have well water with a water softener. No when I bought this product the gal said you are gonna need help putting this on. So I called a friend who owns a beauty shop and asked her about putting it on and she said she wouldn't want to do it ...she afraid it will do more harm than good. I am 60 yrs old and have very fine hair, ALWAYS have...... even when I was a little girl. so what do you suggest?
You can do this on your own unless you are disabled in some way. You don't need any special training and it is pretty easy to just pour it all over your hair. Regarding your friend, it sounds like she is not familiar with this product and probably not familiar with these types of color removers. Tell her she should learn about them as they are much less damaging to the hair than bleach.

It only removes artificial hair color. It will not remove your natural pigment. I am assuming your hair is not colored. Even if it is, I doubt you are a natural level 8. Unfortunately, you are going to need bleach, which is best handled by the professionals.

If your hair is naturally that dark this product will not lighten your hair. However, if it is dyed this product can help. Please note that it could take 2-6 applications to get back or close to your natural hair color.

It does work. I have had a level 2 on my hair for at least 7 years. I'm doing this the 2nd time now. I did first application last week. The only thing is my ends are still dark. Not as dark as the level 2 but still probably level 4. My roots clear to middle of my hair shaft lifted from a level 2 to a level 7 the first time.

Mix equal parts of bottle #1 and #2. I forget what they call them but there are three bottle in the box. Don't use the processing lotion until the end. After mixing equal parts of bottles 1 and 2, leave on your hair for 20 minutes and cover with plastic wrap or plastic cap. Then rinse for 3-5 minutes. Shampoo. Then rinse again. Then pour the processing lotion over your hair and let sit for five minutes. Rinse. Condition. You are done. If the hair is not light enough when you are done, repeat everything. You use the processing lotion after you have rinsed and shampooed the bottle 1 &2 mixture out of your hair. If the color remover has done its job to the color you wish to be at then apply the lotion to your hair and let it stand for 5 minutes. Then rinse and enjoy.
