Awesome product
Awesome product for a clay wax. Gives my fine limp hair volume because I can basically "sculpt" my hair
ProsIt is not heavy or weigh my hair down.

Good for curly hair, too
I have thick, wiry, curly hair and have been using Osmo Clay Wax for years. It tames the hair when it's a little wet, then when it dries, the curls look great. Holds the 'do all day.

Very light with good hold
Osmo Essence is excellent for folks with hair on the oiler side as it isn't greasy and does not weight your hair down.

Excellent texturizer
Makes short, straight hair very workable without feeling sticky or stiff. Great with highly textured hair. Best used when hair is still slightly damp after washing - no blow drying needed.
ProsA little goes a long way
ConsDoesn't last for more than a day

great texturizer
just a little gives short, straight hair texture and shine for a professionally styled "broken up" or spiked look. My stylist used it on my hair after cutting and i soon realized it was why she always made my hair look better than me.
ConsNeeds to be washed out and reapplied daily.

Does this leave a greasy look? How is the hold?
used this stuff for yrs...absolutely love it. Depending on your hair length use a smaller amount to start (approx size of nickel or even a dime if your hair is real short) & rub into both hands and then massage through hair to eliminate any grease look (add more if needed but remember little goes a long way). A little trick if you do use to much from the get go...because is happens...is you take a regular bath towel and dry your hair as if you are getting out of the shower and you will eliminate the grease look & have the right amount left over to rework your salad. If you use this practice daily a tin of this stuff lasts a long time & the hold is legit. never have to worry about that being an issue. Enjoy

I have fine hair and I have to say that I love the hold because it keeps the hair in place and gives me volume without a greasy look. However, on the second day the hair seems to be weighed down more. I tend to use this product knowing that the next day, I will be washing my hair. But, can't rave enought about how my hair looks the day I use the product.
