Redken Chemistry Shot Phase Extreme Deep Treatment is a booster for distressed hair. Formulated with more protein than any Extreme product, the Strength Shot's concentrated dose fortifies chemically distressed hair. Wheat protein and wheat starch help reinforce the internal fiber and protect hair against heat damage. A cationic surfactant targets the most damaged areas to give great surface conditioning without weighing hair down.

Must be used with Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase .
This pH sealer is for chemically distressed hair and must be sprayed over "shot" to lock the specialized ingredients contained in the "shot" onto the hair. It also rebalances the pH level of the hair and helps to seal the cuticle.

Step 2: Apply 1/2 oz. of Strength Shot. Leave on 5 minutes, do not rinse.

Step 3: Spray 10-15 pumps of 3.5 pHix pHase over Strength Shot. Work in, rinse.

Optional: Apply deep conditioning treatment if additional conditioning is required.

Amazing
I reviewed the Shot Phix that is used with Shot Phase and as with that, this product is the same...amazing. Noticed a huge difference after the first use! See my other review for further details. Intended for extremely damaged hair delivering incredible results. Not for everyday use... I let a couple weeks pass between applications.
ProsAll around incredible product delivering great shine and a healthier strand of hair.
ConsNeeds more detailed directions on packaging.

good
its no doubt a good product and is great that it needs only few minutes and u an mix with other shots to customize your treatment but honestly I was waiting for a deeper treatment than it delivered but it's a good product, maybe not "magical" but good I felt a little lack of moisture if used alone with no mix with other shoots
Prosgood product acts in few minutes customizable
Consnot as powerfull than I expect it lacks moisture if used alone

I got this shot treatment at the salon and I really liked it. My hair felt softer instead of its usual coarseness. My hair is pretty fried right now so anything helps.

A Must Have.
I've tried about a million hair restorative treatments after taking my naturally brown/black hair to platinum blonde, and this blew them all away. My hair was very damaged in the initial stages of lightening after a horrifying salon appointment with an under-expierenced colorist that left my hair like overcooked pasta. This made it feel like real hair again! I am so excited about this product and will definitely be ordering it again.

I get these treatments at teh salon usually. It does make my hair feel softer, there should be more instruction about using the sealer and how long to keep on as well as if it can be mixed with other shots. It does not seem to be working as well as it used to. I found that true at teh salon, also. I think they changed the formula and perhaps that is making it not work as well.
Prosmakes hair soft, cheaper than salon
Consinstructions, need to use once ever two weeks or so to keep softness. still rather expensive.

how often should you use this treatment ?
1 time per week - for extremely damaged hair, 1 - in 2 weeks - in other case. But this product needs to be alternated with moisturizing masks (for example one time per week - this system, one - moisturizing mask).

I use it 1 month every week ( so it 4 times per month) and then make a pause and use 1 time per month

do I use the shot phase first then the shot phx after?
You would use the treatment first and the apply the Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase .

Yes. You will need Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase - if your hair was chemically damaged, or Redken Chemistry System 5.5 pHix pHase - if your hair was mechanically stressed.

If i color my hair how many days later can i use this product?
We would like to say a week after coloring. This item helps fix the PH in the hair as it is known that haircolor will change the natural state.

This treatment can blur a color of your hair. I usually use this treatment before coloring, not after. I hope my answer will be helpful for you.

Maybe it will wash your hair color so start before coloring and 2 weeks after coloring

I read a review that says that I will need to buy something else (ph... something) with this product. I already have the extreme shampoo and conditioner and the heave cream (moisturizer). Please advice
There are two steps to the complete process. The first is the shot phase which you leave on your hair for the suggested time. You then "seal" the benefits with the ph spray. There are two versions of the spray. One is for color treated or chemically treated hair and the other is not. Make sure to select the right ph for your hair. Good luck. You won't regret the purchase. I use it once a month and love how my hair looks and feels.

Yes...you need the spray to activate the treatment. Either this: http://www.sleekhair.com/13015-8-5-oz.html or this: http://www.sleekhair.com/13016-8-5-oz.html Depending on the kind of damage you have. One is for heat damage, the other is for chemical damage like hair color.

Yes, this is a two part treatment. You start with this (Redken Cemistry Shot Phase Extreme Deep Treatment). After shampooing, apply 3 pumps to towel dried hair. Leave on 5 minutes. Do not rinse. Then, you follow with the Redken Chemistry Shot Phix 3.5 PHix pHase. It is a spray pump bottle. With the first treatment still in your hair, apply 10-15 pumps of spray onto hair. This locks in the first treatment. Rinse and follow with a Redken treatment, if desired. I usually use a conditioner afterwards. These directions were taken right from the bottles. It's easier than it sounds!

This is correct, you have to use this product together with the Redken Chemistry System pHix pHase, I used the 3.5 as recommended by my stylist. This is a sealer that has to be used with any of the Chemistry Shots.

Hi, The Redken Chemistry Shot Phase is left on the hair for 5 minutes. This is a deep in salon treatment. It then needs to be followed after 5 minutes with "Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase " and left on for another 5 minutes. According to Redken this is how the process is. The PH 3.5 activates the treatment. You then wash your hair, and condition with the conditioner of your choice. I've used this treatment for a while now, and it completely improved the quality of my hair after it was destroyed with a perm.

You must spray with Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase. It looks like it is out of stock at Sleek Hair. You can wait for it or order via amazon.com. I do not think you should try it without the Redken System pHix pHase. Currently $17 on amazon. Either way, this will last you a long, long time. Used once weekly probably last over a year. It is worth the investment if you have damaged hair.

Yes this product must be used with Redken Chemistry System 3.5 pHix pHase, which you have to purchase separately. This pH sealer is for chemically distressed hair and must be sprayed over "shot" to lock the specialized ingredients contained in the "shot" onto the hair. It also rebalances the pH level of the hair and helps to seal the cuticle.

Yes you have to use the appropriate Phix treatment. You use your shot phase and before you rinse, just simply spray it through your hair. Its seals the product and your hair.

After you leave the Shot Phase in your hair for the recommended 5 minutes, you need to spray Redken Chemistry Shot Phix 3.5 pHix pHase to set the treatment, then, rinse your hair. The results are amazing!

If you dye your hair blonde, I would say yes as this is the most repairing of all the formulas. HTH!

Redken Chemistry Shot Phase Extreme Deep Treatment is a booster for distressed hair. Formulated with more protein than any Extreme product (there are like 5 different Shot Phase) But it this is the best one for you or not, depends on the current condition of your hair. Is a naturally blonde? or do you color your hair? Is your hair extremely damaged from chemical processes? If so, I recommend it. I color my hair, and my hair was also over processed with a perm. As a result, I begin using this product and in about a month it has transformed my hair into a healthier state. This bottle is used in conjunction with 3.5 pHix pHase spray.

If your hair is distressed or damaged, this one will strengthen it. I always follow with a conditioner because I find my wet hair does not feel smooth after treatment is rinsed out. I only use it around 3 times a month and I see a difference.

These treatments are not sorted by hair color, rather, by the needs of your hair. If you chemically process your hair and use a lot of heat tools on them, this would be the best one for your hair.

What is the consistency of the extreme deep treatment? I have all soft which is like a conditioner but I bought this online and I think I was sent shampoo. Can someone tell me what this is supposed to look like? Thanks
It is very thin and runny. I have the both the Extreme and the Smooth Down. The extreme is almost like water while the Smooth Down is creamy.

It's in a gray rectangular bottle with a pump. And this stuff is amazing....my hair was dry and breaking off even if I rub it die to I just recently bleached it which totally ruined my Jair before I purchased this product...one word AMAZING.

The extreme deep treatment does have the consistency more of a shampoo and is supposed to be used with the Redkin shot phix. After shampoo use extreme deep treatment on towel dried hair 5 min then after spray with shot phix..I have 3.5 approx 10-15 pumps, then rinse immediately. This is a protien treatment not a deep conditioning treatment. All soft is great to use after you rinse this out of your hair..you will notice a difference..hope this helps

It is a wonderful product. The consistency is a clear liquid. You must follow through with the spray-3.5 I think-then use your regular conditioner.

Its feels almost like water , it's not like any of the other chemistry shot and it's all clear and don't have the white coulor or creamy feeling like the other ones. But I can promise you this - it works great!

The extreme shot phase treatment is a liquidy consistency because it is made of mostly protein, some of the other shot phase treatments have a consistency more similar to conditioner, such as all soft and color extend. ANY product that claims to restore protein to the hair SHOULD be more liquidy!! Some people do not like the consistency but that is exactly how it should be and what is going to restore you hair.
